Digital Camera needed

Post by Berkbunch » Sun Jan 25, 2004 3:12 pm

My last camera has (let's say) been misplaced.
It was a Minolta Dimage (same as Scotts)
2.3 megapixel, small and nice features had belt case and two (2) 256 media cards. This camera unit has been replaced and upgraded since I purchased mine. Current model remails 2.3 meapixel which is good for what I use it for But now prices are lower and I'am not sure to go to 5 megapixel or higher and bigger size camera and a few dollar more?

Is or has anyone been looking for new camera? or has one they like? please advise

I looked at the Olympus C50 on sale this week for $399.99.

Please send comments by email or post. Thanks

The only two cameras i would buy right now are the pentax s4, smaller then your minolta and higher quality with more features, and the olympus stylus 400. slightly larger then the pentax, but far more rugged, water resistant ect. similar picture quality(almost identical) to the pentax. cost is the same relativly for both units, if you want a smaller unit get the pentax, if you want a more durable unit get the olympus. if you still ahve the memory cards for your minolta, i would get the pentax. i belive(not sure) that they both use the same memory card. So that would save you money on your purchase. I got mine at costco, came with the leather pentax belt case, camera and a single 128 memory card. i believe it was about 358 and then there was a $30 rebate. Slightly cheaper online, but costco has a better warrenty then anyone out there so worht the extra cost.

Richard, you should go to http://www.vistaprint.com and order your own. Remember if you use a custom design it costs about $20.00 to upload your design plus printing extras. Mine cost about $100.00 for Vista Print alone!

Then you have to pay the graphic artist. Justin is cheap at $99.00/design. I suspect that is a family/friend discount.
