Got Pentax Optio S4 now need proper settings

Need your ideas on best setting for camera?

Leaving next month on back to back cruises, Have tons of projects to do before then.

Took some shots but, some were to dark even with the flash.

red the book, there are lots of options for lots of different picture types...
