Melanie wins a Governor's scholarship for being in the top 5% of California's public high school standardized tests.

They put $1,000 in an account for her to use in "pursuing a degree", which basically means college books, room and board, tuition, etc. and visiting her boyfriend Pipath at U.C. Berkeley.

you can get it every year you take the test!
they also offer a $2,500 scholarship for getting a certain score on math/science AP tests.

i will be taking the calc and bio ap tests within the next 2 years, so the 2,500 will depend on those

i am over test fear!! between standardized tests, the millions i take regularly in school, and all the billions i have done for decathlon tests don't really phase me too much anymore
that is especially good because i often don't have that much time to study for all the stuff at once!
