Jimmy gets 1st @ Boulder City Invite. He ran a 52.1 400m and a 2:03 800m. His coach is aiming to work on his speed. Next meet Jimmy says he will run a 4:19 mile. Our bet is that he will!
Keep up the good work Jimmy

Way to go Jimmy. You speed is fine. Wisdom from an ancient half miller - the race is won between the 400 and 600 marks but the time is made ibetween the 200-600 marks. Take you first lap harder and I'll bet with your endurance you see 1:55.
Take care
John

Hi John - nice to see you on the forum. Hadn't noticed your being on before. Isn't Jimmy doing great!! You Inmans certainly can run - must be genetic - your ancestors must have done something mighty wild and wicked to have had to develop such running skills! Give my love to the family.

Well my coach at SUU thinks I can do it once have been in his program for a while. To break 4min in the mile is probably one of the most presegious things to do as a runner. I think only a about 2 or 3 do it a year, if that. So I will work hard to someday be one of those few. Maybe you should start a pole Scott it would be interesting when people think I will do this or if I will ever do it.

Yes, Jimmy, you will get your 4 min. mile, because you are determined to do so, and you have fabulous persistence. I predict the date will be 5/5/05 - such a perfect number - and it will be your 21st birthday!!!
